What did the client have in mind?

Creative Star was given the go-ahead to design a first-rate programme for an incentive trip to Cambodia with ‘Be swept off your feet, dazzled and pampered’ as the guiding principle. Creative Star was given carte blanche by this automotive sector client, which meant the green light for the event & incentive travel planning agency's team to pull out all the stops to turn this incentive trip into something truly phenomenal.

What was Creative Star's strategy?

Without a doubt, one of the trip's highlights was the visit to the grand Ankor Wat, the largest temple in the world. To spice things up, the group toured the site by moped, rather than on foot – guided by a Cambodian driver. The right vibe was there from the start and made for a funny sight more than once. Just picture a slender Cambodian weaving through the streets with a Burgundian Belgian clinging to their back. The group experienced an intimate taste of the local culture with a blessing by a group of monks in bright orange sarongs and an exchange of gifts with school children. There wasn’t any shortage of pampering either. Close your eyes and imagine a luxurious back massage before lunch, accompanied by the sounds of the Landmine Victim Orchestra. And the invigorating foot massage around the Raffles pool is also sure to come up in conversation once or twice. Without a doubt, one of the trip's most moving moments was watching local students lay a wreath at The Killing Fields memorial, near Phnom Penh. After a bout of island hopping, this vibrant journey ended on a Thai island in a luxurious hotel where each room had its own private swimming pool.
